Andrew Karre is senior executive editor at Dutton Books, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers Group, a division of Penguin Random House. Over the course of his career, he has had the privilege of editing numerous award-winning and bestselling books for children and young adults, including works by Kristin Cashore, Shannon Gibney, A.S. King, Malinda Lo, Ashley Hope Pérez, Junauda Petrus, and Ibi Zoboi. Prior to joining Dutton in 2015, he was editorial director of Carolrhoda Books and Carolrhoda Lab, imprints of Lerner Publishing Group. He lives in St. Paul with his family.
Jamie Knapp is the Director of Publicity for Plume and Tiny Reparations Books and the Associate Director of Publicity for Dutton. She also serves as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council Representative for the PPG Division at Penguin Random House.
Daniel Leary has been overseeing aspects of book design, print production and manufacturing for the University of Minnesota Press and the Minnesota Historical Society Press since 1996. Leary has mentored more than 50 publishing interns over the last decade as Design and Production Manager and the MNHS Press. Dan enjoys guitar rock and watching high school basketball games.
Steph Reierson is an educational publishing professional with nearly 20 years of experience in a variety of channels in the industry. She spent 13 years in PK-12 book distribution at Mackin Educational Resources, building a classroom services department, creating 3PL services, and serving as the publisher relations contact for the company’s thousands of publisher vendors. She has held leadership roles in OER curriculum and ed-tech (at Open Up Resources), children’s book publishing (as president at Bookstaves and Amicus), children’s podcasts (Story Seeds podcast and publishing), and leadership training (Co-Active Training Institute). As Operations Director at Book Buddy Media, Steph is passionate about aligning product, strategy, and relationships to facilitate Book Buddy’s creation of resources that ignite curiosity and support research-aligned instruction.
