Membership
The 2022–2023 membership drive is closed! Our next membership drive will open in August 2023.
Mission
The Minnesota Book Publishers Roundtable began more than twenty-five years ago as a small group of publishing professionals meeting around a restaurant table and has blossomed into a diverse group representing a cross section of publishing activity in Minnesota. Its purpose is:
- To develop, advance, and promote the book publishing industry in Minnesota and adjacent areas;
- To provide book publishers and others in related professions and trades an opportunity to exchange ideas and experience;
- To promote good fellowship and friendly cooperation among its members.
Events
Our bimonthly meetings feature key speakers on issues that are timely and informative for publishing professionals.
In the context of ongoing COVID-19 concerns, safety is our priority. Events in 2022 will include both in-person meetings and virtual webinars. Webinars are hosted via Zoom. They are $5 for members and students and $15 for nonmembers.
In-person meetings are held at Open Book, 1011 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN, 55415. Webinars are held online. Recordings of all events will be available online for all current members.
Membership in the Roundtable is open to book publishing professionals and those from related industries in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Members receive many benefits, including discounts to all MBPR events, a discount to join the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), and inclusion in our member directory, and unlimited access to post job openings on our webpage. Additionally, our members-only webpage provides access to past event audio recordings. For further details, email information@publishersroundtable.org.
